Post Modernism : 

• Post modernism takes the piss out of modernism
• Exhaustion
• Pluralism
• Pessimisum
• Disalusionment
•  with the idea of absolute knowledge

• Jean Tinguely - created a piece of art that was designed to blow up - temporary art - coming from the idea that technology is floored, it is ruining the people. Very negative towards the modernist movement.
• 1960 onwards
• Charles Jenks - Destroyed modernist housing block
• Modern Housing blocks were actually a bad idea, they turned into slums for the lower class and criminals.
• The destruction of the block symbolized the post modernist dream. 4 years later it was destroyed.
• FUNCTION FOLLOWS FORM.
• Post modern architecture was playful fun and engaging.
